Exploration of 2.5D and 3D visual effects production methods and their combined application characteristics.
With the advent of the digital revolution and the rise of the digital age in recent years, visual effects are no longer reserved for big budget science fiction films, but are used in a wide range of genres, including cinema. They not only create spectacular visual effects, but also aid narrative, overcome the constraints of filming conditions and reduce costs. The dramatic increase in the proportion of heavy industry films has pushed the focus of many film productions towards visual effects, which are having an increasingly significant impact on the entire post-production process. Although visual effects are an important part of the film and television production process, the way in which they are produced is still often a source of confusion. I will therefore analyse the characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of both 2.5D and 3D visual effects production methods from a number of perspectives, and explore their combined application.
