PROJECT PROPOSAL

In the third semester I found that I would be more interested in the modelling, scenery and lighting parts of the scenes.
I prefer the interface and overall operation of blender as a new software, firstly it is free software so it works well on mac or Windows. Although Maya is a classic modelling software, I am able to use blender better because I am using a mac laptop’.
Secondly, because blender is updated so quickly, it comes with plugins that are powerful enough to cover all my current modelling needs.
When searching for tutorials online I particularly enjoy watching people record themselves building some of the grand scenes. My love for building big scenes actually started a long time ago, and one of my favourite projects in my postgraduate portfolio was to turn a photograph of a Tang Dynasty landscape into a 3D scene using NUKE. At that time, I only had some basic knowledge of modelling software, so there was no way to realise my idea through modelling.
But now after three semesters of more systematic learning, especially in this semester, I believe I can build a scene that I have been longing for in the coming semester.
